In 2023, across the face of the planet, enormous sculptures of twisted keys will appear in public spaces - giant, awe-inspiring conversation pieces, in a world badly in need of open dialogue.

The brainchild of renowned artist Alfred ‘Milot’ Mirashi, The Keys of Unity will become an historic symbol, opening doors to experience cultures, and encouraging dialogue between people. A highly visible project on a global scale - from Boston to Brisbane; from Sao Paulo to Seoul, the keys are a worldwide call to action.

This is not just public sculpture, but a youth project, a design opportunity, a forum for debate, and a space for culture.

What are The Keys of Unity?

Conceived by MILOT, The Keys of Unity will be a collection of giant, individually designed sculptures placed around the world, where people can congregate, converse, debate, find common ground and embrace their differences. The sculptures will be a literal talking point in every location they touch, a new town square.

What are the sculptures?

They are all twisted Keys, designed to echo their location. If a key is bent out of shape, then there can be no more locked doors… the keys are twisted to always keep dialogue open.

Where can I see the Keys?

Currently in Naples and Cervinara, and next, Albania and Rome. Coming soon to Northern Europe, the Americas, and Oceania.

MILOT

Alfred Mirashi aka Milot was born on 09/18/1969 in Lac, Albania. He is an Italian citizen and lives and works in Florence. He graduated in Painting at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milano in 1999 where he won the Loughborough University of Art & Design scholarship in England. From 2016 to 2019 he was Professor of Sculpture at the University of Art & Design in Jinan, Shandong, China. In 2019 he was appointed Artistic Director of the DODO Art Museum in Beijing. From November 2019 until October 2022 he was reconfirmed as professor at the University of Art & Design in Jinan, Shandong, China.
